These are really beautiful photos. I have been there (about 20 years ago) and you really captured it. Didn’t you feel kind-of honored to be there? That is how I felt.

  Thank you. And, oh yes, I felt honored to be there. It’s a dramatic place–the scenery, the tragedy. I’m sure it’s changed quite a bit since you visited. In a way, it felt, to me, like a living ghost town. The air is palpable with stories.
